Ramadan is a month full of blessings; it is when Allah (SWT) opens the gates of\u00a0Rahma\u00a0<\/i>like never before. Part of the blessings of Ramadan is the gift of Laylat al-Qadr (The Night of Power). Our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) said the following,<\/p>\n

\u201cSeek Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten days of Ramadan.\u201d\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

(Bukhari and Muslim)<\/p>\n

Our blessed Prophet (peace be upon him) guided us to seek Laylat al-Qadr in the last 10 nights actively, specially in the odd nights of the last\u00a0ashra<\/i>.\u00a0To enhance their spiritual rewards, Muslims engage in various acts of worship during the final 10 days. Some of the ways we can seek\u00a0Laylat-al-Qadr\u00a0<\/i>is by offering some extra prayers and sitting for long silent, intimate\u00a0duas\u00a0<\/i>with Allah (SWT). We can also recite the Quran on this night as we know the following.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe sent it (this Qur\u2019an) down on a blessed night.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

(al-Dukhan 44:3)<\/p>\n

Special Stature of Laylat al-Qadr<\/b><\/h2>\n

Laylat al-Qadr is an extremely powerful and special night as this night is better than a thousand months. Just like every night, in the last third of the night, Allah Almighty descends to the last heaven and asks,<\/p>\n

Who is calling upon Me that I may answer him? Who is asking from Me that I may give him? Who is seeking My forgiveness that I may forgive him?\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

(Sahih Al-Bukhari 1145)<\/p>\n

Imagine how special it would be to speak to the Almighty when the Almighty is so near to you. Allah (SWT) made this night even more special by allowing angel Jibrael to descend.<\/p>\n

That night the angels and the \u02f9holy\u02fa spirit descend, by the permission of their Lord, for every \u02f9decreed\u02fa matter. It is all peace until the break of dawn.<\/i><\/p>\n

Signs of Laylat al-Qadr<\/b><\/h2>\n

  1. It is believed that during this night, angels descend, bringing tranquility, peace of mind, and a profound tenderness of heart.<\/li>\n
  2. The night is reported to have moderate temperatures, neither excessively hot nor cold.<\/li>\n
  3. The following day dawns with a gentle sun, avoiding extreme heat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Precious Acts of Worship on Laylat al-Qadr<\/b><\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. Participate in\u00a0Itikaf\u00a0<\/i>during the last ten days of Ramadan, a spiritual retreat in seclusion.<\/li>\n
    2. Offer plentiful supplications, including those for Laylatul Qadr.<\/li>\n
    3. Read the Quran with translation for deeper understanding.<\/li>\n
    4. Perform extra nightly prayers like\u00a0tahajjud\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0nafl\u00a0<\/i>prayers for various intentions.<\/li>\n
    5. Extend acts of charity, acknowledging their profound impact on humanity.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
