We believe that Allah\u2019s doors of mercy, compassion, and forgiveness are wide open in this month. Muslims often divide Ramadan in three different\u00a0<i>ashra\u00a0<\/i>(set of ten days)<i>.\u00a0<\/i>The first\u00a0<i>ashra\u00a0<\/i>is known for\u00a0<i>Rahma\u00a0<\/i>(mercy), the second for\u00a0<i>Maghfirah\u00a0<\/i>(forgiveness of Allah), and the last one for\u00a0<i>Nijat\u00a0<\/i>(safety from Hellfire).<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Rahma<\/i><\/b><b>: The Heart of Islam<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Islam is engulfed by mercy and all its tenets encourage kindness, justice, and love.<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Even Allah is known to be Ar Rahman (The Most Merciful) and Ar Raheem (The Especially Merciful).\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Our beloved Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) embodied mercy as the Quran says the following:<\/p>\n<p><b><i>We have sent you \u02f9O Prophet\u02fa only as a mercy for the whole world.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/quran.com\/en\/al-anbya\/107\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(Al Quran 21:107)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Muslims are also encouraged to be kind, generous, and forgiving towards each other as the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) noted,<\/p>\n<p><b><i>\u201cVerily, Allah is gentle and He loves gentleness in all matters.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abuaminaelias.com\/dailyhadithonline\/2022\/09\/02\/gentleness-all-things\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(Sahih Al Bukhari)<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Healthcare as an Embodiment of Allah\u2019s<\/b><b><i>\u00a0Rahma<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Since mercy holds magnificent importance in Islam, our own health is also Allah\u2019s blessing. Ramadan is an opportunity to express gratitude for this blessing by not only purifying our souls but also our bodies.
